Terms and Conditions for EasyVolunteer

1. Interpretation and Definitions

The Company refers to EasyVolunteer, operated from Riverview, New Brunswick.

2. Acknowledgment

By using the Service, You agree to these Terms and Our Privacy Policy. You must be over 18 to use this Service.

3. User Accounts

When You create an account, You must provide accurate information. You are responsible for safeguarding Your password. We reserve the right to terminate accounts that violate these Terms.

4. User-Generated Content

Our Service allows You to post text and images (e.g., event descriptions, volunteer profiles). You retain ownership of Your content, but You grant Us a non-exclusive license to display it. We are not responsible for the accuracy or legality of content posted by users.

5. Volunteer Opportunities and Platform Records

EasyVolunteer helps users discover and coordinate volunteer opportunities. Organizations are responsible for the accuracy and legality of their postings and for determining and arranging any required screening, training, supervision, safety measures, and insurance. Volunteers are responsible for assessing whether an opportunity is suitable and for following applicable safety requirements. EasyVolunteer is not a party to any arrangement between an organization and a volunteer; words such as "hired" or "assignment" describe acceptance for a volunteer role and do not by themselves create employment with EasyVolunteer. Application statuses, schedules, attendance, hours, ratings, comments, and endorsements may be recorded or updated by users or automated Service processes. Users must submit honest and accurate records and promptly raise disputes with the other participant or with Us. These records are not guaranteed to be official proof of employment, credentials, or hours unless We expressly state otherwise.

6. Messaging and Group Chats

The Service provides direct and group messaging for volunteer coordination. Group-chat membership can change, and current, newly added, or returning participants may see the existing message history. Do not treat a group chat as confidential. You are responsible for the personal information You choose to share and must not disclose another person's information without authority or consent. Sharing personal information in a group chat is at Your own risk. We may use automated filters, restrict links, review reported content, preserve an encrypted snapshot of reported content as evidence, and remove or block participants to operate and secure the Service and enforce these Terms.

7. Intellectual Property (The "Idea" Protection)

The Service and its original content (excluding User Content), features, algorithms, matching logic, and design are and will remain the exclusive property of EasyVolunteer. Our trademarks and trade dress may not be used in connection with any product or service without prior written consent. Any unauthorized copying of the platform's functionality or "look and feel" is strictly prohibited.

8. Feedback and Suggestions

You agree that any feedback or suggestions You provide become Our property. We may implement them without any obligation or compensation to You.

9. Termination

We may terminate Your access immediately, without notice, if You breach these Terms.

10. Links to Other Websites

We do not control third-party sites and are not responsible for their content or safety.

11. Limitation of Liability

Crucial: EasyVolunteer is a matching platform only. We are not responsible for the conduct of any volunteer or organization. We are not liable for any personal injury, property damage, or disputes arising from real-world interactions initiated through the platform. Our total liability is limited to $100 CAD.

12. "AS IS" Disclaimer

The Service is provided "AS IS" without warranties. We do not guarantee the platform will be error-free or uninterrupted.

13. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the Province of New Brunswick, Canada.

14. Dispute Resolution

You agree to attempt informal resolution by contacting us at info@easyvolunteer.ca before pursuing legal action.

15. United States & EU Compliance

Standard clauses for international users (Users outside Canada agree to Canadian jurisdiction).
